Flt Sgt Ron MacLeod of 383 (Alloa) Sqn has been awarded "Top Student" after completing the Army Preparation Course (APC18). The course is run over 18 weeks and gives students an insight to the Army lifestyle.

Flt Sgt MacLeod said "this course is not for the fainthearted you must be prepared to give it everthing you have. There have been injuries along the way with some of the guys including myself but you have to pick yourself up and get on with it. It is a great achievement to have completed this course and to recieve this hard fought award."

The course is ideal for those who are thinking about joining the Armed Forces especially if you are unfit or not excercised for some time.

The course covers a wide and varied programme e.g. orienteering, rock climbing, physical fitness, swimming plus twoo weeks away on camp and much more.
